Ingredients

thinly sliced pickles (preferably brined)1 cup
ripe avocado1
finely chopped chives or red onion1 tablespoon
dijon mustard1 tablespoon
salt, to taste
pepper, to taste
juice of 1/2 lemon

Instructions:

  1. Cut the avocado into small cubes and place it in a bowl.
  2. Add the sliced pickles and chopped onion.
  3. Add the mustard, lemon juice, salt, and pepper to taste.
  4. Gently mix until all the ingredients are well combined.
  5. Serve as an appetizer or with toasted bread or crackers.

cream cheese1/2 cup
brine-based pickles, chopped1/4 cup
fresh or dried dill1 teaspoon
garlic powder (optional)1 teaspoon
Olive oil (for toasting the bread)

Instructions:

  1. Toast the slices of bread in a pan with a little olive oil until golden and crispy.
  2. While the bread is toasting, mix the cream cheese with the chopped pickles, dill, and garlic powder (if using).

flour or corn tortilla1
